Construction Management Software Releases Enhanced Version of its ProEst® Estimating Software

ProEst 11 incorporates a Microsoft Office look and feel and new technology to increase productivity and create more accurate bids

SAN DIEGO, Calif., May 22, 2007: Construction Management Software (CMS) today announced that it has released an enhanced version of its ProEst estimating software. ProEst 11 delivers new features and functionality designed to achieve greater estimating efficiencies while creating more accurate and competitive bids. Enhancements to ProEst 11 include an easier-to-use interface with a Microsoft Office look and feel; advanced integration capabilities; a new Bid Day module and digital takeoff technology.

Enhanced User Interface
ProEst 11 has an easier-to-use interface with a Microsoft® Office 2003 look and feel. This provides users with familiar toolbars and shortcuts for more intuitive navigation and faster access to key features. It also reduces training time for new users.

Advanced Integration Capabilities
ProEst 11 offers direct integration with many popular software programs, which eliminates duplicate data entry, increases accuracy and provides a more efficient workflow. ProEst 11 integrates with:
- Numerous construction accounting packages
- Microsoft Office (including Excel and Outlook)
- ProEst Takeoff 11 digital takeoff software
- Multiple new interfaces to manufacturer databases for price updates
- Many online plan rooms

New Technology
With the release of ProEst 11, uses can take advantage of two significant technology enhancements: the new Bid Day module and new digital takeoff technology. The Bid Day module allows users to easily compare and analyze multiple subcontractor bids and select the lowest qualifying bid for inclusion on the final estimate. New digital takeoff technology incorporated into the ProEst Takeoff module allows users to perform takeoffs using digital plans and a mouse, which can bring contractors one step closer to the paperless office.

Other enhancements to ProEst 11 include more efficient item and assembly screens and a new Material Substitution features that allows users to change one material type to another throughout the estimate.
